To Cook Lobsters and Shellfish
Fill the bottom of a large pot with only 2 inches of water and bring to a rapid boil. Place all the lobsters in tail first and cover the pot. For lobsters up to 1-1/2 lbs. cook the first lobster for 14 minutes. Add no more than 2 minutes cooking time for each additional lobster being cooked with it. For Lobsters 2 lbs. and up, cook the first for 16 minutes and add two additional minutes for each additional lobster.
To cook steamers, littlenecks and mussels, use a large pot with only 1-2 inches of water and bring to a rapid boil. Once placed in the pot, steam the first pound for 10 minutes. Add one minute per extra pound of shellfish being steamed.
To heat stuffed Stuffed Quahogs and Chowder.
Place the quahogs in the oven and heat for 15 minutes at 300 degrees. Or place in microwave and heat for 1-2 minutes until hot.
Chowder can be heated on stove top until hot or can be microwaved for 1-2 minutes or until hot.
